China is a major producer and consumer of laying hens. After 30 years of development, the scale and standardization of poultry farming in China have continued to improve. However, there is still room for development in animal welfare, sustainable development, carbon neutrality, and other areas.

Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Poultry Science is a public welfare research institution under the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, with 11 major disciplines including special poultry breeding, breeding and propagation, and disease prevention and control as its main research tasks. In recent years, the Poultry Institute has continuously strengthened its external exchanges, cooperated with many large enterprises inside and outside the province, and established more than 20 industry university research cooperation bases.

During this visit, Director Tong and his delegation focused on inspecting the situation of Zhengda Group and Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprise in egg chicken breeding, processing, supporting equipment and facilities, engineering construction, logistics vehicles, and other aspects.

At the specialized vehicle production base and breeding machinery production base of Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprise, Director Tong highly praised the chicken catching truck and automatic chicken dispensing system developed by Xinbaiqin and Zhengda Gurui. He believes that the products of Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprise are very forward-looking in functional design and have high market application value. He hopes to develop more digital functions in combination with usage scenarios to improve the efficiency and level of aquaculture.

Mr. Zhang Hongfei introduced that Zhengda Group is the largest one-stop enterprise for laying hens in Asia, which has established a full industry chain management system in breeding, hatching, young chickens, laying hens breeding, egg processing, deep processing, sales and other aspects. As a supporting enterprise of the Group's agriculture and animal husbandry sector, Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprise has introduced the world's advanced layer breeding equipment and technology earlier, and has continuously increased innovation in Internet, artificial intelligence and other technologies in many years of practice. It has rich experience in the construction of digital and large-scale breeding farm projects.

Director Lv Zibin pointed out that the current advantages of Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprise mainly focus on the mainstream breeding methods of mainstream varieties, and are relatively lacking in refined subdivision fields such as local variety breeding and specialized breeding technologies. He hopes to leverage the professional team of professional research institutes to cultivate new varieties and explore new methods around new consumption, and jointly promote the development of poultry industrialization in response to domestic market demand.
