In the large cooked food packaging workshop of the food factory, only three to five workers were seen transporting packaging materials back and forth, as well as several dancing "spider hands". These spider hands move back and forth like dragonflies, picking up bags of delicious food lightly and accurately, and putting them into packaging boxes. In no time, a whole box of delicious food is filled and sent out, the whole process is like flowing clouds and water, all in one go, showcasing the charm of modern industry.
This is the newly put into use robot automatic packing production line for the secondary packaging workshop of Jilin Zhengda Food Co., Ltd.'s cooked food factory, and also the acceptance site for the first automatic packing project of Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprise - Shanghai Zhengxin Kerong Robot Technology Co., Ltd.

Jilin Zhengda Food Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jilin Zhengda") is located in Yushu City, Jilin Province, with three major factories for slaughtering, conditioning, and cooked food. Its designed capacity for broiler slaughter is as high as 100 million per year. Since its launch in 2016, it has been committed to providing high-quality food. Despite the relatively new production time and advanced automation level, Jilin Zhengda still faces the dilemma of labor shortage and difficulty in employment in the face of global economic downturn pressure and the employment challenges brought by the epidemic in the past three years.
In order to reduce dependence on manual labor and improve production efficiency, in 2023, Jilin Zhengda and Shanghai Zhengxin jointly deployed three robot automatic packing lines in the secondary packaging workshop of the cooked food factory. This project is the first automatic packing project independently undertaken by Shanghai Zhengxin. With the cooperation and cooperation of all parties, the three production lines have successfully passed the acceptance and been put into use, realizing functions such as automatic supply of empty cardboard boxes, automatic feeding and sorting, automatic identification and packing, automatic full box transportation, weight inspection and sealing.
Application of Automation Technology
① Automatic supply of empty cardboard boxes: Equipped with an automatic unboxing machine, empty boxes are automatically transported to the packing area with accurate positioning, reducing manual operation.
② Automatic feeding and sorting: Materials are automatically sorted and transported to the grabbing area through conveyor belts and sorting drum lines, ensuring that the materials are neat.
③ Automatic recognition and packing: By using a visual system and spider hand collaboration, the material position is accurately identified, and the spider hand quickly grasps and packs, greatly improving the packing efficiency.
④ Full box automatic conveying, weight inspection, and sealing: After the box is full, it is automatically conveyed to the weight inspection and removal device, where unqualified products are removed and qualified products are automatically sealed. The process is smooth.
Advantages after renovation
① Reduce labor: Through automation transformation, the number of production workers has been reduced by about 60%, effectively alleviating labor pressure.
② Improve production efficiency: Spider hands replace manual packing, with three machines working together to ensure stable and fast packing. The packing speed for small packaging products can reach 130 packages per minute.
③ Reduce labor intensity: Spider hands can work continuously for more than 14 hours a day, and workers only need to replenish empty cardboard boxes in a timely manner, inspect the production line, handle missed materials, unqualified products, and equipment failure alarms, greatly reducing the labor intensity of workers.
④ Equipment reuse reduces construction costs: The three production lines' unboxing machines, weight inspection and removal devices, and sealing machines are reused, reducing equipment procurement costs.
