On April 10, 2025, a delegation of more than 20 people, consisting of representatives of Korean agriculture and animal husbandry, experts, scholars and farmers, arrived in Shanghai to carry out a four-day in-depth investigation and exchange of information on the Zhengda E&M Enterprise. The trip focused on intelligent breeding equipment, disease prevention and control technology and green recycling agricultural practices, aiming to promote the complementary advantages of Chinese and Korean agriculture and animal husbandry, and pave the cornerstone for the strategic cooperation between the two sides.

Field visit: from the headquarters to the base, a comprehensive display of technical strengths

On the first day of the visit, accompanied by Mr. Lv Zibin, Vice Chairman of CZME, the delegation visited the enterprise history exhibition hall and product exhibition hall. The delegation expressed a high degree of concern for the whole industry chain solutions covering feed equipment, breeding equipment, food processing and logistics and transportation, especially the intelligent controller for heat preservation lamps, AI pig counting inventory and other self-developed products that triggered heated discussions.

Mr. Lv Zibin, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, said, “Relying on the global industrial resources of Zhengda Group, we have grown from a single equipment manufacturer to an intelligent service provider covering the whole meat and food industry chain, and have now formed a technology system supported by eight branches, five production bases and more than 400 patents. The intelligent demand of the Korean market is highly compatible with our technological direction, and we expect that through this exchange, we can promote the deep cooperation between the two sides in the fields of equipment customization and technology research and development.”

Representatives from the Korean side introduced in detail the current situation of Korean hog farming and meat processing industry, and pointed out that the Korean farming industry is currently facing the challenges of quality and efficiency improvement, disease prevention and control, intensive transformation, animal welfare and carbon neutrality, and urgently needs to break through the bottlenecks in cooperation with Chinese head enterprises.

Focus on core scenarios: Taicang pig farm and Cixi industrial park are the highlights of the visit

On April 11, the delegation went to Taicang, Jiangsu Province to visit the Meishan Pig Breeding Farm project. The farm adopts biosecurity control design, integrated automated feeding system and manure resource treatment technology, with an annual output of 2,200 piglets, and has become an example of “balancing breeding and efficiency” in the context of African swine fever. The delegation asked about the environmental control of pig farms, disease isolation measures and the recycling agriculture model.

On the next day, the delegation went to the Cixi Park of ZDME, focusing on visiting the production base of Xinbaiqin specialized vehicles and the production base of ZDG Gurui breeding machinery. The production line of bulk feed trucks with an annual capacity of 2,000 units of Xinbaiqin and the breeding equipment base of Zhengda Gurui constructed according to the standard of Industry 4.0 intuitively demonstrated the manufacturing strength of electromechanical. Representatives from the Korean side paid special attention to the operational efficiency of pneumatic conveying bulk feed wagons, which “can effectively solve the problem of feed transportation in mountain farms in South Korea”.

Technical Dialogue: China and South Korea discuss the challenges of the industry and the direction of collaboration

In the technical exchanges between the two sides, the Korean side put forward the ten major issues currently faced by the Korean agriculture and animal husbandry industry, such as disease prevention and control, carbon neutrality, and breeding cost control, and introduced the innovative achievements of the AI management system for sow gestation and the intelligent ring control technology. The Digital Intelligence team of Zhengda E&E shared the “three zones and five streams” management system (clean and polluted zones, human flow and logistics control) in the prevention and control of African swine fever, as well as the improvement of feed feeding accuracy through the Internet of Things (IoT) technology.

Mr. Lv Zibin, Vice Chairman of the Board, said, “Korea's experience in fine farming and intelligent management system is worthy of our learning, while China has advantages in large-scale production, cost control of equipment and engineering landing, and there is huge room for both sides to complement each other.”

Deepen the consensus on cooperation and draw a blueprint for the future

At the end of the inspection, both sides agreed that intelligence and greening are the common direction of global agriculture and animal husbandry. In his farewell speech, Vice Chairman Lv Zibin emphasized, “We look forward to using this exchange as a starting point to promote the interoperability of technical standards between China and South Korea, collaboration in talent training and customized product development.” Dr. Ahn Ki-hong, a representative from the Korean side, responded, “The equipment technology and engineering capability of Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprises is impressive, especially in the field of disease prevention and control and recycled agriculture, which are urgently needed by Korean farms.”

From Incheon to Cixi, this technical dialogue spanning 550 kilometers not only demonstrated the hardcore strength of Zhengda Machinery & Electric Enterprise in the field of intelligent farming and disease prevention and control, but also confirmed the profound accumulation of the Korean counterparts in fine management and intelligent application. Taking the common challenges of the industry as a pull and complementary technologies as a cornerstone, the two sides have sown the seeds of deep collaboration in the core industrial area of the Yangtze River Delta. It is expected that in the near future, the two sides, hand in hand, will move towards the direction of intelligent and green global agriculture and animal husbandry development, and write a new chapter of China-Korea agriculture and animal husbandry cooperation for mutual benefit and win-win situation.
