In order to continuously improve the SHE management level of Zhengda Group in China, effectively control risks, and prevent accidents, on November 16th, a team of experts from the Compliance Office of Zhengda Group's Thailand headquarters visited Zhengda Electromechanical Enterprise - Shanghai Zhengyi to conduct the 2023 safety, health, and environmental management effectiveness assessment and audit.

The audit committee is jointly composed of the Compliance Office of the Thailand headquarters and the SHE Committee of Zhengda Electromechanical. The Thai side is led by Chen Kun, Assistant Director of the Compliance Office at the headquarters, with the assistance of two experts, Zhang Tianbao and Chen Guoqiang, responsible for supervision and training; Zhengda Electromechanical is led by Zhang Hongfei, Director of the Zhengda Electromechanical SHE Committee and General Manager of Shanghai Zhengcheng. Representatives from each company's SHE committee participate, receive guidance from headquarters, and conduct audits on Shanghai Zhengyi; Tong Xuemei, General Manager of Shanghai Zhengyi, led the company team to cooperate with the evaluation.

Quality, safety, and environmental protection are important indicators that test the sustainable development of enterprises. Since its establishment as the first enterprise, Zhengda Electromechanical has always adhered to international management systems such as ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO14001 and domestic and industry standards as the basis. Starting from multiple aspects such as source prevention, process control, and end of pipe management, a special committee has been established to be responsible for SHE work; Build a "one enterprise, one policy" system and responsibility chain, and tighten responsibilities from the perspectives of "process management" and "audit results".

In the process of promoting the implementation of SHE management system, Zhengda Electromechanical also uses digital empowerment, leveraging emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things and big data to upgrade the full lifecycle management process of quality, safety, and environmental protection; Establish and improve a rational system, as well as a risk identification, evaluation, and control system for all staff positions, to create a "comprehensive coverage, full process management, and full participation" safety production atmosphere.

This audit covers 233 items in six major sections: leadership, hazard prevention system, approval system for risky operations, emergency plan and crisis management, accident reporting and investigation, and environment. The audit team, based on the principles of rigor, objectivity, and impartiality, carefully listened to the overall progress and direction of Shanghai Zhengyi's work on the standardization of SHE standards in the workshop, as well as the risks and solutions encountered by employees at all levels during the work process. They also conducted on-site inspections of relevant hardware facilities, personnel allocation, and data records.

During the review process, Shanghai Zhengyi's well-organized operational procedures, strict control of material management, and detailed and clear ledger records left a deep impression on Thai experts. Mr. Chen Kun gave a thumbs up to Shanghai Zhengyi's original intention of promoting SHE management and strictly adhering to safety and quality bottom lines over the past 26 years, and provided guidance on the deficiencies found during the audit. Mr. Chen emphasized that the focus of this audit is not on ranking, but on hoping that everyone can discover problems, exchange experiences, and summarize results during the process, so as to better promote SHE work and reduce the probability of accidents to zero.

Mr. Zhang Hongfei and Mr. Tong Xuemei, on behalf of Zhengda Electromechanical, expressed their sincere gratitude to the leaders and experts of the compliance office in Thailand and Beijing, as well as the colleagues who participated in the audit.

Mr. Zhang stated that this audit is a test and a warning for Zhengda Electromechanical. There is still a certain gap between Zhengda Electromechanical and international standards in SHE management. We hope that all companies can continue to learn and strengthen their management.

Mr. Tong promises: In response to the deficiencies identified in this audit, Shanghai Zhengyi will promptly develop a detailed plan and make necessary improvements. At the same time, taking this evaluation as an opportunity, we will further strengthen SHE management and provide a safe, healthy, and green demonstration benchmark for the sustainable development of Zhengda Electromechanical Brother Enterprises and even Zhengda Group!
